Friend -- -- I want to put the NDRC's work -- our successes and our remaining challenges -- in very clear terms.

After 2011 redistricting, Republicans had unilateral map-drawing power over a whopping 213 U.S. House districts, while Democrats had that power for a mere 44.* That's why so many of the maps in use today are so manipulated.

Enter the NDRC. By the end of the 2018 elections, Republicans lost the unilateral power to draw maps for 34 U.S. House districts -- and they lost it for another six after the 2019 elections.

Now, 40 seats is a huge shift, but we have a TON more work to do. Republicans still have unilateral map-drawing power over 173 House districts, twice as many as Democrats do.

But we have a plan. Our top targets in 2020 are five states that between them have 106 House districts, and whose redistricting process is entirely controlled by Republicans: Ohio, Texas, Georgia, North Carolina, and Florida.

If we can flip just one chamber in each of these states, we'll be able to STOP the GOP from manipulating the maps for over 100 districts!
