Right now, more than 50 million people are facing a hunger crisis in 18 countries in Africa. In the midst of extreme drought, farmers are unable to rely on their livestock or grow food. 2.6 million people have had to flee their homes.

Oxfam is responding to the hunger crisis – providing clean water and emergency aid to families, distributing water filters to help people stay safe when treated water is not available, and building latrines and handwashing stations to reduce the threat of water-borne diseases.
