Thank you, John.

It’s official, John. Tonight, Democrats and independent voters nominated me to serve a second term as Colorado’s Governor. And while Republicans couldn’t vote to nominate me, more and more Republicans are adding their voices in support of me now because of extremism in the Republican Party.

The first thing I want to say to you, John, is thank you.

Whether you’ve pitched in a few hard-earned dollars, volunteered for our campaign, or cast a ballot for me and Dianne, I wouldn’t be here without incredible grassroots supporters like you.

In these last three-and-a-half years, we’ve faced unimaginable challenges together. But we’ve also shown what it means to come together and tackle tough problems head-on — leading with science and data, not ideology or misinformation.

That’s how we’ve stood up to special interests and made progress on some of Colorado’s longest-standing challenges — passing legislation to make preschool and full-day kindergarten free, reducing the cost of health insurance and prescription drugs like insulin, and taking bold action to fight climate change.

It’s how we managed a once-in-a-century pandemic and are now seeing one of the strongest economic recoveries in the country.

It’s how we’ve saved Coloradans money in the face of rising costs — with measures to reduce property taxes, eliminate a tax on seniors’ Social Security benefits, and send $750 rebates to all Colorado taxpayers this summer — without cutting programs that families depend on.

And it’s how we’re defending Coloradans’ fundamental freedoms in the face of a hostile Supreme Court — protecting the right to choose, the right to vote, and our right to be with the people we love without fear or discrimination.

Our Lt. Governor Dianne Primavera and I are relentlessly focused on a simple mission: do what’s right for Colorado. Always.

But there’s a lot of work left to do, and if we’re going to build on our progress — rather than tear it down — I need your help to win this race. Because GOP groups are targeting Colorado with everything they’ve got this year.

We’re officially in the General Election now, and I would be humbled to have your support in this race. If you support our mission to keep building a Colorado for All, will you pitch in $5 — or any amount that works for you — and help put our campaign on a path to victory?

Thank you so much for everything you do. Your support is something I will never take for granted, John.

Now let’s go win this thing.

Jared
