As a mother to 4 children, I understand the significance of pregnancy, its risks, and the power of choice and reproductive freedoms for my body. Like many of you, the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade stunned and angered me. With our federal constitutional right to abortion eliminated in one decision, conservatives and their radical agenda took away the right to control our health care decisions.

If you're frustrated like me, you are asking, “what can I do?,” and how can we prevent further protections to voting rights and marriage equality from being taken away from us?

Last week’s decision made it clear: we are in this moment because every vote and every election matters. The stakes are too high to take anything for granted this election and we need your support to elect leaders who will protect reproductive health and other rights in New Mexico.

The only reason abortion access in New Mexico remains protected is that voters made the right choice by electing Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham and Democratic leaders in our state legislature.
