As we watch the recent events unfolding in our nation, it is becoming more obvious how critical it is to have leaders who love God, people, and life. The polarization of so many political issues has disunified our country, and we are left with brokenness and strife. 

We have seen where such easy access to our phones and the news has created the illusion that we know all the facts. We see where social media gives the perception that most individuals and families "have it together" when the truth is contrary. It is important that we as Americans stick to the values that make us who we are, but we also need to listen and show love to our neighbors as God teaches us. 

I thought I would drop a funny, "behind the scenes," picture from our previous outreach event. You get to see the disorganized chaos of our group trying to take a photo, but that group got to demonstrate kindness to kids that day, and I hope we can spread that kindness throughout our community and grow a safer, more unified district in the future.
