How you can help Corbin & David Henderson     Dear Friends & Supporters, My friend David Henderson recently received the absolute worst news a parent can get. HIs 14 year old son, Corbin, who has courageously been fighting cancer for over three years has only days to weeks left in his battle. Compounding this tragedy and pain is that David's ex-wife and the Tarrant County 322nd Family Court have heavily restricted David's ability to see his son while in hospice at his mother's home. This despite the court's social worker testifying that Corbin wants his father to have equal time with him. There is no criminal, abuse or neglect history here and what the dying child wants right now is all that should matter. The court initially denied David live access to his son at all. Citing that it is the ex-wife's "vacation time" David was given 15 minutes of FaceTime daily by the court. Only after public pressure did the court agree that David could visit his son twice a day for two hours with four days on and the fifth day off. However, the ex-wife continues to restrict access to Corbin despite this court order. David has filed an appeal for more time with his dying son, but the judge set the hearing for July 8th which is well past the time the doctors have estimated that Corbin has left. The situation is outrageous, immoral and abusive to both the child and father who are being kept apart in their most challenging days. Corbin and David need YOUR prayers and help. Wednesday night, June 29, we are having a Prayer Vigil & Call to Action at Cafe Republic at 8640 N. Beach Street in Fort Worth from 6pm - 7:30pm. Guest speakers include Eric Carroll from Dad Talk Today, parental rights advocate Jeff Younger, Larry O'Neal from Fort Worth Memories and other prominent community leaders. We hope you can join us.
