Please contact us if you can take part in one or both actions:
– 9am at the SF Department of Elections (City Hall Basement) - The Affordable Homes Now Coalition will submit signatures to put a Charter Amendment on the November ballot! Our pro-housing initiative is endorsed by Mayor London Breed, Senator Scott Wiener, Supervisor Matt Dorsey, the Northern California Carpenters Union, an array of pro-housing organizations, and tens of thousands of San Francisco voters. Can you join us at City Hall to submit the signatures?
– 11am in the Board of Supervisors Chamber (City Hall Room 263 - call-in option is available) - The anti-housing Charter Amendment proposed by SF Supervisors Chan, Peskin, and Walton will be heard by the Rules Committee, and it’s essential to let the public know that it’s really a NIMBY measure in disguise. You can read here all the reasons why. Can you join us to speak against this measure? It will be the first item, beginning at 11am.
To speak out against this anti-housing measure either join us in person, or call in to give your public comment. We need to send the strongest possible message to BoS that the SF’s pro-housing majority of voters will fight against this and any other other cynical measures to prevent new homes from being built.
Let me know if you can show up or call-in, and I’ll provide you with all the details you need.
Thanks, and hope to see/hear from you on Wednesday!
