Hey John, it’s Cory. I’m reaching out to personally ask you to support my friend and North Carolina’s next senator, Cheri Beasley.
Her first FEC deadline of the general election is just two days away, and a donation of any amount you can spare would go a long way toward making up some ground for her campaign’s fundraising goal.
This race is personal to me. My dad grew up in Hendersonville in the western North Carolina mountains. It’s the kind of place that a lot of politicians ignore or leave behind — but not Cheri. She shows up, listens, and fights to make sure everyone is heard, no matter their ZIP code.
She’s the kind of candidate who inspires me and gives me hope. Throughout her life, she has fiercely fought for justice and put the people first.
I know how much good we can accomplish for our families if we flip this open seat in North Carolina. Not only can Cheri do it, but when she does, I know she will be a fierce ally for working people and justice in the Senate — someone unafraid to stand up to the special interests, end the filibuster, and cast the decisive 51st vote for progress and change.
The polling consistently shows her in a statistical tie with her opponent, but she needs us to step up and have her back before her critical FEC deadline.
Our democracy is not a spectator sport. If we don’t get involved now, we’re at risk of more dysfunction and gridlock blocking the important work still to be done.
