The Democrats hold both branches of Congress and the White House. Despite having that power, and a two month warning that a rigged Supreme Court was set to strip us of our bodily autonomy, our government did nothing to prevent Roe v. Wade from being overturned.

That is unacceptable.

Today, Melanie and our team are releasing five demands to restore our reproductive rights and ensure that our equality is never questioned again. Will you join us and sign the petition right now?

We are no longer asking Democratic leadership to protect our fundamental right to abortion. We are demanding it.

We’re working to collect thousands of petition signatures and personally deliver them to President Biden, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi so they know we are tired of half-measures, performative action, and being told to just “vote harder.”

We demand that Democrats take the following five steps to restore our reproductive rights and ensure that our equality is never questioned again:

1. End or carve out an exception to the filibuster
    
2. Codify Roe v. Wade
    
3. Unrig and Expand the Court
    
4. Repeal the Hyde Amendment
    
5. Ratify the E.R.A.

Democratic leadership has a moral obligation to use its power to protect the reproductive rights of women, trans men, and non-binary people. We are calling on President Joe Biden, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi to take the actions outlined above, immediately.
