BREAKING: Moments ago at the Jan 6 hearing, a key White House aide
disclosed and confirmed:

* Trump was told that people at his rally had AR-15s, knives, bear
spray, and other weapons and had plans to enter the Capitol.
* Trump demanded the metal detectors at the rally be taken down so the
armed people could get in, saying "They aren't here to hurt me."
* Knowing all this, Trump still directed the mob to march on the
Capitol.
* Trump was urged to respond to the insurrection and threats to his Vice
President, but replied that Mike Pence "deserved it."
* Trump ordered the Secret Service to take him to the Capitol, and when
they told him no, he lunged for the steering wheel and physically
assaulted an agent.
* Trump's staff have recently committed witness tampering, attempting to
scare witnesses appearing in front of the January 6th Committee

What the committee has exposed here is jaw-dropping -- this wasn't a
spontaneous insurrection, it was a violent coup attempt. It is time for
Merrick Garland to do his job. Failure to hold ALL those who broke the law
legally accountable will allow future attacks to succeed and the threat to
our democracy will only grow.

evidence of a criminal conspiracy that started long before the violence on

democracy. The threat will continue and grow until those who broke the law
are held accountable.

We must hold those involved in this criminal conspiracy accountable --
even if they are former Presidents or members of Congress -- in order to
protect our right to vote and choose our own leaders.
