John,
It has been a difficult few days since the Supreme Court released an opinion that overturned Roe v. Wade . The impact has been just as swift and severe as we imagined. The moment we have feared is here.

Everything is on the line.

With Roe dismantled, the GOP will turn all of their attention to gaining control of Congress – so they can continue passing legislation restricting our reproductive choice and right to access healthcare. Over half the states are moving to criminalize abortion. People are already being turned away from clinics. Our pro-choice majority in the House is one of the few things standing between us and a nationwide abortion ban.

If you are ready to help me fight back, donate to my re-election campaign today so I can keep doing the work to protect our freedoms and basic rights. [[link removed]]

Abortion access is not the only fight we’ve undertaken. Read on to learn more about what I’ve been working for in Washington.

Congress did something last week that no one thought possible – we passed legislation to save lives from gun violence. I voted for the “Bipartisan Safer Communities Act,” comprehensive gun violence prevention legislation to stop the spread of gun violence and help prevent future mass casualty shootings. Still, this bill falls short of where we ultimately need to be to end the epidemic of gun violence in this country – so the work continues.

I am also watching the January 6th committee hearings and reckoning with just how close we came – at multiple levels of government – to losing our 200+ year democracy. We cannot take our democracy for granted. The anti-democratic forces unleashed and amplified by the far-right make the future of democracy in America more uncertain than ever. I’m prepared to hold the line for our values, our democracy, and our country in Congress.

John, you know where I stand on these issues. I've said it. I've shown it. I've voted on it.

I have been vocal and outspoken on women's freedom and autonomy in their healthcare decisions. I have been vocal and outspoken on protecting our kids in schools. I have been vocal and outspoken about the need to protect our democracy. And now, it is all on the line.

Can I count on your support to keep me in Washington? The critical second financial quarter ends on Thursday at midnight and I need your support to stay here and keep getting the work done. [[link removed]]
