When our rights are under attack, we need to band together through love
and activism to fight back and win. I first ran for Congress in 2018 in
response to a tyrannical president whose goal was to divide us and take
away our rights.

Together, along with Mitch McConnell, Trump succeeded in making us less
safe―installing a far-right Supreme Court that has taken away abortion
rights and undermined gun control laws, which had been in place for
generations.

But, their attacks on our rights have only made us stronger. We are more
united than ever to fight back for justice, equity and equal protection
under the law.

In the face of right-wing hate and a politically motivated Supreme Court,
we need allies like Democracy for America as we stay focused and work
together to reclaim our country and strengthen our democracy.

Right now, I’m running for re-election in a new district. And a
billionaire-backed super PAC has committed to spending at least $1 million
in an attempt to defeat me.

As we saw in Summer Lee’s congressional race in Pennsylvania, a super PAC
went on the attack using misinformation to trim her 25 point lead down to
just a 740 vote victory in the final weeks of her race.
