We need to double down on our country’s efforts to disrupt antisemitism! As antisemitic incidents are rising to unprecedented levels, the highest number on record since we began tracking antisemitic incidents decades ago, we need a whole-of-government and whole-of-society approach. Today, ADL is rolling out the COMBAT Plan to provide an effective way for federal, state and local governments to fight antisemitism.

We need your help to make this happen; we are asking you to speak out... Reach out to your political leaders to urge them to prioritize the fight against antisemitism now. Tell them that the time couldn’t be more urgent. Our most recent Audit of Antisemitic Incidents recorded thousands of incidents of assault, harassment and vandalism across the United States — an average of more than seven incidents per day.

What Is the COMBAT Plan?

Our leaders must speak with moral clarity and take the lead in stopping antisemitism. The COMBAT Plan is a comprehensive, six-part approach for federal, state, and local governments to fight domestic and global antisemitism. These elements are:

• Condemn Antisemitism
• Oppose Hate and Extremism Driven by Antisemitism
• Make Communities Safe from Antisemitism
• Block Antisemitism Online
• Act Against Global Antisemitism
• Teach about Antisemitism

The COMBAT Plan calls on leaders at every level of government to condemn antisemitism, authorize and improve hate crimes laws, stop the spread of antisemitism online and protect Jewish institutions often targeted by antisemitic acts.

We need a wide range of actions, including a commitment to rejecting the use of antisemitism as a tool for political gain and partisan warfare, investing more in physical security enhancements to protect religious institutions and instituting age-appropriate Holocaust education in every state as part of their curricula.

ADL’s COMBAT Plan is a powerful blueprint for transformational change targeting antisemitism and all other forms of hate.
