It’s Senator Cory Booker here! I’m sure you’ve had a pretty long day, but I’d be remiss if I didn’t take a moment to talk to you about something really important — the upcoming midterm elections. The balance of the House could come down to just a few House races. One of them: Congressman Sanford Bishop’s.

Because of congressmen like Sanford Bishop in the U.S. House, we’ve been able to provide crucial pandemic relief for struggling families, create millions of good-paying jobs, revitalize our economy, and move on from the most divisive and harmful president of our lifetime.
But if Congressman Bishop loses, and we lose the House, our progress will stop in its tracks. We won’t be able to finally pass legislation to solve the problems facing our country for far too long, like gun violence, voting rights, and our crumbling infrastructure.
Further — if Republicans take control, we know they will do everything they can to REVERSE our progress, entrench their power, divide our country, and set the stage for Donald Trump’s return in 2024.
And it may all come down to Congressman Bishop. His seat is one of the most competitive House races in the country. FiveThirtyEight says his is the most competitive U.S. House seat in Georgia. The NRCC and GOP super PACs are targeting this race and pouring millions of dollars into his district to try and flip the U.S. House — and it’s working. Multiple election experts recently downgraded Bishop’s chances of winning.
But John, we can’t let them succeed. Congressman Bishop’s campaign is going to have to reach every voter, canvass every neighborhood, and organize every supporter possible in order to win in November.
And to win in November, Congressman Bishop’s team has to meet their end-of-quarter fundraising goal. We need your help to do that.
