A new report predicts that the amount of plastic we produce will triple by 2060 if we don't take immediate action to curb our plastics problem.1
And much of that plastic pollution comes from products made by corporations that have yet to take sufficient steps to address the crisis, such as Amazon, Whole Foods and Keurig Dr Pepper. Their products are filling our oceans, communities and landfills with plastics, and we can't let them continue this destructive practice.

Beverage companies like Keurig Dr Pepper could make a real difference in ending the plastic waste crisis. If we can eliminate single-use plastics, we can stop products from ending up in landfills after just one quick use.
In 2019, single-use plastics made up 40% of all plastic produced that year.2 By ending single-use plastics, we can massively reduce the plastic waste crisis.
That's why we're calling on Keurig Dr Pepper to stop using single-use plastics for its products. But to make sure the company hears us, we need all the help we can get.
Corporations are a major producer of plastic waste, especially the single-use plastics that are most likely to be discarded. But we have a plan to tame the plastic waste crisis that goes beyond any one company. We're working to:
- Build critical support for powerful federal legislation like the Break Free From Plastic Pollution Act to protect our world from plastic pollution.
- Pass the strongest measures possible at the state and local level to move our country beyond plastic.
- Convince major companies such as Amazon and Keurig Dr Pepper to phase out single-use plastic packaging, starting industry-wide shifts to keep unnecessary plastic from ever even being produced.
U.S. PIRG has already made great strides in moving our country beyond plastic. Just this month, we helped convince the Biden administration to kick single-use plastics out of national parks.
Our work to end the plastic waste crisis is more important than ever. That's why we're working to address it on every level. But we can't do any of this without your support, Friend.
