After 5 days, Paul LePage broke his silence on the Republican Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade. This was his response: 

“I don’t have time for abortion”

Paul LePage doesn’t have time for abortion because Paul LePage does not care about the rights and freedoms of Maine people. 

Given the chance, Paul LePage and the Maine GOP would ban abortion, attack LGBTQ+ rights, and undermine public education. We cannot give them that chance. We know why he’s dodging these questions. It’s because Paul LePage wants to ban abortion in Maine. He’s said it before. But he knows that Mainers don’t share his right-wing ideology. 

Unlike Paul LePage and the Maine GOP, Mainers believe in the freedom to live and participate as equal members of society. Clearly, Paul LePage and Maine Republicans would rather divide Mainers and try to take away our rights rather than address the real concerns of Mainers

Meanwhile, Gov. Janet Mills and Democrats in Augusta have time to tackle all the issues facing Mainers from protecting our fundamental rights to combating climate change and lowering the cost of living in Maine.
