The Holidays are coming but we've still got plenty of events and activities planned for December. We'll be joining as a co-sponsor of the Climate Strike this Friday, heading out to Gulfport to help the Mississippi DSA folks fix brake lights, ramping up our campaign for Bernie Sanders and holding a General Meeting on December 12th.

We're fighting for our values one step at a time. There are so many ways to get involved, and we know it's going to take all of us to win. Here are some upcoming DSA events, we hope you join us!

This Thursday 12/5, the City Council will vote on whether to expand the Orleans Parish Prison.

New Orleans DSA is part of the Orleans Parish Prison Reform Coalition pushing to stop the jail expansion. Fifty people have died in OPP since Katrina, and we know that what our city needs is to use taxpayer money for social services, mental healthcare and fixing our infrastructure, not building more cages.

We need to pack council chambers. Come to 1300 Perdido St anytime between 11 AM and 2 PM. Make your voice heard!

Hi John, thanks so much for being a part of DSA and our movement. We are a 100% member funded organization that relies entirely on volunteers. Right now our chapter is in the process of moving to a new office and beginning to raise funds so we can offer food and childcare at all of our meetings.

If you can, donate to New Orleans DSA and help us strengthen our work.

Here are best ways to keep up with DSA:

We hope to see you soon!

In Solidarity,
New Orleans DSA
