The end of the quarter is both an internal and external marker, and we’re counting down the days until June 30th on our office’s whiteboard. (If you like the magnets pictured above or want your own Katie Porter whiteboard, check out our store).
Internally, we need to reach our goal so we can place TV and digital ad buys, hire staff, and make sure volunteers have the materials they need for knocking on doors and talking with voters.
But this isn’t just an internal goal. After June 30th we’re required to publicly report how much money we’ve raised over the past three months. An impressive number tells outside conservative groups that Katie still has the support of Orange County voters and that this race isn’t worth running their attack ads in.
