   Announcing Organizing Engagement

We are excited to support the launch of Organizing Engagement, a new online publication dedicated to advancing knowledge, understanding, and practice at the intersection of education organizing, engagement, and equity. The website features introductions to a variety of models and principles, in addition to profiles of policies developed by school districts and community organizations committed to educational equity.

We hope the website will be of use to local leaders, organizers, and practitioners, as well as the many nonprofits, institutions, advocates, and funders working in partnership and solidarity with them.

Community Forum on the Future of Education

Monday, December 9th
5:30 - 7:30 PM
Dinner provided
Hibernian Hall
184 Dudley Street, Boston MA

We're excited to sponsor an upcoming community forum run by The Rennie Center. In wake of the passage of the Massachusetts Student Opportunity Act, it is important to consider where that funding will go. This forum will create a space for students, parents, and other community members to share what programs and services are critical to their communities.

It's Not Our Money To Control

It’s not easy for funders to give up their power. In a recent opinion piece, Nellie Mae Vice President of Strategy and Programs Gislaine Ngounou writes that funders need to unlearn the internalized superiority from which we operate to achieve greater impact.
