John–
I've been a part of this movement during the highs and lows, the victories
and the setbacks, the moments of hope and the immense tragedies when our
communities were forever changed by acts of gun violence.
We've been through a lot—but we have never given up. Year after year,
we've shown up in red shirts at statehouses, city halls, Congress,
rallies, stores, and corporate headquarters to demand action on gun
safety. Even when the odds seemed stacked against us, we were there,
working to make our communities safer.
That resilience and resolve helped us accomplish something huge last week:
Congress passed a major gun safety law for the first time in 26 years, and
President Biden has signed it into law.
This victory will help save lives—and it happened because of you.
Today, join me in celebrating all the work that went into winning this
historic victory. [ [link removed] ]Watch and share our new video about how we changed
the tides on gun safety in America, and how we made the Bipartisan Safer
Communities Act possible.

reads: "We used our voices..."
During my time as a gun violence prevention advocate, I've never seen the
energy I saw that made this victory possible. In just a few weeks, members
of this movement sent more than ONE MILLION calls and messages to their
U.S. senators demanding action on gun safety.
But it didn't end there.
Volunteers and survivors showed up to deliver petitions and hold rallies
to make sure our U.S. senators could not look away from our nation's gun
violence crisis. We joined with partners to up the pressure even more. And
in communities across the country and on Capitol Hill, our voices became
impossible to ignore.
Through years of unrelenting effort, the volunteers and survivors of
Everytown, Moms Demand Action, and Students Demand Action showed our
country the true meaning of resilience and made history.
This victory belongs to them.
This victory belongs to us.

made history on gun safety.
Thank you for being a part of this movement. We still have more work to do
before every life in America is safe from gun violence, but because of
people like you, we're closer than ever to making that dream a reality.
Until then, we #KeepGoing.
