Dear Mr. xxxxxx,
Following another action-packed week in Washington, D.C., I wanted to pass along my latest update on what I have been doing to represent you, Texas’ 21st Congressional district, and our country as a whole:
Last week on Wednesday, I was joined by 11 of my House Republican colleagues in pushing President Biden’s DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to release information on the department’s apparently “politically motivated” allegations that U.S. Border Patrol Agents "whipped" Haitian migrants. So far, DHS has refused to publish any report on the incident, despite requests from myself and other Members of Congress.
On Friday, I praised the Supreme Court’s historic decision in Dobbs v. Jackson, which restored the American people’s ability to defend the God-given right to life. The last 50 years have made it exceedingly clear: Roe was both a legal and moral failure that contradicts the Constitution and natural law.
The impulse to consider abortion is rooted in fear that for too long has been exploited for political ends. We need to move past political rhetoric and unite as Americans to celebrate, promote, and protect the lives of both the mother and the child. We should make it as easy, healthy, and hopeful as possible to choose life.
I also went on The Howie Carr Show and gave an update on my bill to defund Biden’s “climate czar” John Kerry. Czar Kerry is peddling fantasy energy policies that raise prices for Americans and leave us reliant on our enemies. We need to stop funding tyranny – Kerry is no exception.
The full clip of my Howie Carr interview is available here.
I also joined my friend, Jesse Kelly, to talk about the importance of protecting our constitutional right to self-defense.
Here are some more news stories about what I’ve been up to lately:
