We must fight for gay and trans immigrants in detention every day, not just during Pride month.Today, I want to share how you can take immediate action to support one of our community members. Jorge Rondon Torreabla is a gay Venezuelan asylum seeker who has been locked up in ICE detention for over a year now, separated far from his family in New York.

During his time in detention he’s faced discrimination and gender based violence. Jorge should be at home surrounded by his community, where he can get access to mental healthcare, not in solitary confinement.
