We always knew we had a tough fight ahead of this year, but the latest polling in our race confirms that we're going to need to build one of the most powerful campaigns in state history to keep Minnesota blue in November. 

The numbers are clear: Despite relentlessly spreading dangerous anti-vaccine misinformation during the height of the pandemic, pledging to sign an abortion ban with no exceptions for rape, threatening to throw MN Secretary of State Steve Simon in jail, vowing political retaliation against the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice, and more, Scott Jensen is statistically tied with Governor Walz.

RealClearPolitics has already downgraded their rating of our race from “Lean Democratic” to “Toss-up.” And now that Governor Walz and Lt. Governor Flanagan are the last line of defense for abortion rights in Minnesota, under no circumstances can we let it slip any further. 

I know this team is capable of building the campaign we need to win in November, but we can't execute our plans if we don't have the resources. That's why we keep such a close eye on our grassroots fundraising. 

John, even one missed goal could derail key components of our strategy this Fall. And with three days to go to our most critical end-of-quarter yet, we're still more than $30,000 short of our budget target.

I’m sending a fundraising update to the Governor and Lt. Governor tonight at 8:00 pm, and I’m hoping we can at least put a dent in this shortfall by then to give them better news.
