Friend, Here in NJ, abortion remains legal, but that might not always be the case. Already, Republicans are pushing for a nationwide ban on abortion that would supersede state law and put lives at risk right here in our backyard. It's not just abortion that is at stake–it's same-sex relationships and same-sex marriage. It's the right to contraception. All of these hard-fought rights–and many others–are at stake.
There are several things we can do RIGHT NOW to ensure that abortion in NJ remains safe and legal.
Firstly, it is key that Democrats maintain control of Congress. Sign up here to volunteer to help pro-choice Democrats win. If we lose Congress, we stand to lose everything. |
Second, donate directly to abortion funds that help ensure access to safe abortions.
Thirdly, call your legislators and tell them where you stand. They need to hear from YOU. Find your state legislator here.
