John,

These times are dire and the hits won’t stop for a while. We are poised to fight back, but only with the right tools.

Activism burnout is a real threat for any movement work, but especially in an ongoing deadly pandemic and economic upheaval, we need to preserve our health, find opportunities to self-soothe and to cultivate joy, and sustain our energy for the long fight ahead.

This work is hard, and it’s what we’re built for, but not without remedies to keep our bodies, minds, and spirits whole: Drink water, nourish yourself, move in ways that feel comfortable and joyous, and let your mind dream of brighter, more just futures.

To help, we’re sharing some of our webinars with tips and reflections on the necessity of self-love and self-care to be interwoven with our struggle for justice.

Watch Self-Care for Activists and Self-Esteem, Self-Expression, and Self-Love for Activists for some grounding, and we’ll be back tomorrow with more action.

Cordially,

Erin, Shireen, Anvita, Audrey, Caitlin, Elizabeth, Evonnia, Jessica, Kara, Nataley, Tenaja, Annie, Kenyatta, Sara, and the Reproaction team

P.S. Reproaction gets sh*t done because we lift up self-care as inseparable from winning movement work. Build your sustainability practice to keep moving forward with us.
