It’s now been 4 days since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade - and the impact has been just as swift and severe as I imagined.

26 states - over half - are now moving to criminalize abortion. In 8 states women are already being turned away from clinics. Some of the stories we’re hearing are just gut wrenching.

As we speak I’m working to put together an immediate action plan including legislation to protect womens’ data privacy so it can’t be used against them, making it clear Americans have the Constitutional right to travel freely from state to state, and once again passing the Women’s Health Protection Act to codify Roe v. Wade into law.

We’re also doing a deep-dive with our organizing program to make sure our volunteers have what they need to mobilize pro-choice voters in November. We cannot let my GOP opponent Tom Patti win this seat and criminalize abortion nationally.

Now that Roe has been overturned, Republicans are saying the quiet parts out loud. Marjorie Taylor Greene is pushing a complete ban on abortion nationwide. South Dakota’s Governor Kristi Noem is defending her position that abortion should be illegal even in the most extreme cases of rape and incest. And Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton made June 24th a holiday in his office to literally celebrate women losing their Constitutional rights.

These are the extreme, radical forces who want to control every lever of our government - and they are only 3 seats away from taking control of Congress and passing a nationwide abortion ban like Marjorie Taylor Greene has promised. I’m one of the 3 Democrats standing in their way. Our race will determine how bad this really gets.
