Hi Friends,
Last week was a great week for freedom in the United States. In fact, it was the best week we’ve had in a very long time.
The Founding Fathers had a tremendous respect for the sanctity of human life, stating in our Declaration of Independence that our Creator gave us three unalienable rights: the right to LIFE, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
Before any other rights have meaning, the right to life itself -- a right denied to more than 63,000,000 Americans since 1973 -- must not be denied. Every citizen must have the right to be born, then the right to defend their own life.
The rulings from SCOTUS this week have given me great hope for our country! Twice in the same week the majority of the United States Supreme Court sided with the US Constitution. First, the court struck down New York’s intrusive and unconstitutional law seeking to restrict the right of self-protection by prohibiting the vast majority of NY citizens from being granted carry permits. The court rightly ruled that the right to protect one’s life is guaranteed by the Second Amendment.
Just days later, the court ruled that the federal government has no constitutional basis on which to force every state to allow abortion. After 49 years the court has righted a grievous wrong created when activist jurors and idealogues created the “right to abortion” out of thin air in 1973. The court has rightly returned the issue to each state so that citizens can vote their conscience and determine the law without overreaching federal intrusion.
While I am encouraged that the SCOTUS majority has rightly based this week’s decisions on the United States Constitution rather than leftist talking points, the fight is not over—far from it. Indeed, in many respects, the fight has just begun. Rest assured: leftists, socialists, and Democrats are already plotting and planning how to get around the court’s rulings.
I am committed to carrying the fight for Constitutional Conservatism to the floor of the United States Congress in the days ahead where there will be untold fights to be fought and unimaginable legislative proposals to defeat, but I need your help.
Now is the time for strong, Conservative voices in Congress. We cannot allow a RINO like Jaime Herrera Beutler to continue to vote along with the leftist Democrats on such important issues as the right to life and the right to self-protection.
Washington State is worth fighting for—and together, we can restore law and order to our nation and our state. Please help me get to Congress by donating here.
Sincerely,
