Last week, Republican-appointed justices on the Supreme Court issued a decision overturning Roe v. Wade – paving the way for anti-choice governors and state legislatures to restrict reproductive rights and abortion access – and gave a major win to the gun lobby.

I’m angry. But I’m also not taking this lying down.

Here in California, abortion remains legal and accessible – and I am working with the governor and the state legislature to ensure it remains so.

And we will continue to enact commonsense, meaningful legislation to get guns out of dangerous hands and to end the cycle of gun violence that has ripped apart too many communities.

We will do this in California, and we will continue to fight at the national level to set an example for other states on protecting our rights and our lives. 

I will use every power under my authority to protect abortion rights and the right to choose, and to take action to ensure the safety of our communities – because we can’t have an attorney general who sits on the sidelines in these fights. If you agree, please, chip in to my campaign.
