Clarence Thomas must resign, John.

I’m sure you’ve seen headlines like this one below that preview how Ginni
Thomas, the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, advocated for
overthrowing our government.

This news comes on the heels of Clarence Thomas being the only Justice to
side with Trump by attempting to block the January 6th committee from
receiving key White House documents and refusing to recuse himself from
insurrection cases despite his clear inability to be an impartial actor.

[ [link removed] ]It’s clear, that in defense of Trump’s attempted coup, Justice Clarence
Thomas has abused his position of power. Join DFA in calling on him to
resign.

In the months since Trump’s insurrection, it become clearer and clearer
how Thomas has had one mission: to run the investigation into the ground.

So while we’re still learning about the depth of Ginni Thomas’s
involvement, we already know that to protect the rule of law we must force
Clarence Thomas to resign.

The stakes are too high here. We can’t let a Supreme Court Justice do
Trump’s bidding while holding the keys to one of our nation's most
powerful institutions.

Clarence Thomas’s failure to recuse himself with his wife’s direct
involvement shows he has no business being on the United States Supreme
Court— but he won’t resign unless there’s a nationwide outcry.

It is up to all of us to create the public groundswell of accountability
needed to force him to resign. Thank you for speaking up and taking
action!
