After the Supreme Court ruling came down overturning Roe v. Wade, Americans peacefully protested all across the country, including right here in Sioux City.

I joined my fellow Iowans in solidarity for women’s rights. It was an amazing turnout!

A new Marist poll out is showing that a majority of Americans oppose the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. And 6 in 10 voters say it will make them more likely to vote in November.

We have to fight back, John. We can do that by supporting pro-choice champions at every level of government. We must expand our majority in the Senate so they can codify Roe v. Wade in federal law.

But we also need to start getting serious about taking back the state legislatures, starting right here in Iowa. If we can take back the Iowa House, we can stop Iowa Republicans from taking away women’s rights.
