McDermott for Senate [[link removed]]
John, any person who believes women have the fundamental right to make their own medical decisions is furious at the Supreme Court’s backwards, dangerous decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. Tom is one of those people:
@tommcdermottjr on Twitter: Today, 50 years of Constitutional protections, under #RoeVsWade, has ended. Due to #SCOTUS #Dobbs holding, American women lost their most basic fundamental right, the right to make their own medical decisions. Is this a headline from the 1970’s, or are we slipping backwards?"
But U.S. Senator Todd Young responded wasn’t upset at all — in fact, he celebrated the decision:
"@SenToddYoung on Twitter: Today is a monumental day for the protection of life in America and a defining moment for our nation. Roe v. Wade was wrongly decided, and the Supreme Court has corrected a historic injustice."
It’s no surprise — Todd Young voted for all three of the Trump-nominated Supreme Court justices who cemented the end of Roe v. Wade. He doesn’t care that this decision stomps on the rights of half of the people he represents. He only cares about scoring points with the most extreme members of the Republican Party.
Tom is running to finally give Hoosiers a Senator who puts them first. Between Todd Young and Indiana Senator Mike Braun — who recently made the horrific suggestion that the Supreme Court should revisit the legalization of interracial marriage — Indiana has suffered for far too long from so-called leaders who’d rather take away their rights than deliver progress.
If you’re ready for a U.S. Senator who believes that healthcare decisions belong between a woman and her doctor, chip in right now to finally fire Todd Young and expand the Senate majority:
