This weekend the Campaign to Save the Boundary Waters launched a strategic half-a-million dollar ad campaign calling on Senators Amy Klobuchar and Tina Smith to protect the Boundary Waters permanently. 

Today, our powerful new Boundary Waters ad is all over the digital homepage of the Star Tribune - Minnesota’s largest newspaper - and yesterday we were in the Sunday print edition with a color-page spread. The ad campaign also included print and digital ads in other major newspapers across Minnesota, including Duluth, Fargo/Moorhead, Rochester, and Mankato.  

Help us keep our essential new Boundary Waters ads up and running, as we urge our Senators to protect the Boundary Waters, by giving a financial gift to the Wilderness today.

As you likely saw last week, The U.S. Forest Service released their environmental report of sulfide-ore copper mining in the watershed of the Boundary Waters. This study definitively concludes that sulfide-ore copper mining would be a disaster for the environment and ecology of the Boundary Waters. 

The science is clear now that copper mining in the watershed of the Boundary Waters poses an unacceptable risk, but we need our Senators to step up and protect the Boundary Waters now. 

Contribute today so we can keep the pressure on our Senators to introduce a companion bill in the U.S. Senate to protect the Boundary Waters permanently.
