Friend,
Growing up as a kid in North Charleston, South Carolina, the adults in my life used to say something that I think about a lot to this very day.
“Young man, make sure you leave this place better than you found it.”
I’m sure somebody has given you similar instructions at some point Friend. Of course, the command to leave a room better than I found it was a way to teach me how to be a considerate person, but now that I am an adult, I realize that this advice applies to so many other facets of life.
When I played football, my goal was to be a better teammate and player than I was the day before.
As a businessman, my goal was to be a better boss for my employees by helping them achieve their career goals beyond the day-to-day tasks I assigned them.
The same idea is found in the American Dream. For many of us, the American Dream includes a future beyond ourselves. We all ultimately want those we love to thrive and future Americans to be better off than we could imagine.
Achieving that goal starts with the leadership of this nation, and this November, we have a unique opportunity to set a course for American success by taking back the Senate.
Friend, although $5 doesn’t sound like much, it goes further than you may think. Your gift would mean so much to me in our push to take back the Senate Majority.
