Now that dust has settled in our primary, we wanted to remind you about the Republicans’ desperate and last-minute scramble to make sure Young Kim made it to the General Election.

Young Kim thought she was a shoo-in when she left her district to run here in the 40th. But voters in our community disagreed -- and that went for both Republicans and Democrats. The polling showed her losing in the primary, and Democrat Dr. Mahmood had much more support than she expected.

Sensing an embarrassing defeat, Kevin McCarthy ordered an emergency super PAC expenditure of $2 million to push Kim over the top.

She narrowly squeaked by, but it’s important to note how: They ran a deceptive and completely dishonorable attack against her main Republican rival -- a decorated combat pilot.

John, if the GOP is willing to slander one of their own, there’s no telling how disgusting the attacks are going to be against Dr. Mahmood.

Young Kim is clearly vulnerable, but we need to be ready for anything. Please chip in a $3 donation before our FEC deadline to help us counter the Republicans’ attacks and flip this seat from red to blue.
