There’s a really important deadline coming up for Valerie and our campaign.

In just three days, we will close the book on another FEC quarter. Then we’ll have to submit a public report to the FEC, broadcasting how much we have raised this fiscal quarter.

A strong Q2 fundraising report from our campaign will show just how powerful our grassroots movement still is. We made it through our primary, but we still need to prepare for the general in November. So we are setting a $10,000 goal before midnight on Thursday- will you be one of the first supporters to help us reach that goal by pitching in now?

Let me take a moment to explain why this is so significant. The Federal Election Commission is tasked with compiling and reporting all campaign finance data. And every three months (one quarter), campaigns are required to submit a report of what they’ve raised.

We have to show that our grassroots movement is still strong – and is only getting stronger. That’s why we are reaching out today, before the FEC’s end-of-quarter deadline. And why we are setting such an ambitious goal.
