OJJDP Shares Naturalization Resources for National Immigrant Heritage Month

June is National Immigrant Heritage Month. OJJDP participates in the Naturalization Working Group (NWG), chaired by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). This interagency working group aims to implement a national strategy to promote naturalization and reduce barriers to citizenship through education and awareness.

As part of this government-wide effort, OJJDP is sharing USCIS naturalization resources with juvenile justice organizations and stakeholders serving immigrant and refugee children, youth, and families. They include public service announcements (with or without audio), fact sheets and a range of tools and resources.
