Folks, Clarence Thomas isn’t done taking away rights - he wants to go after same-sex marriage and contraception. He wrote the following in Friday’s Supreme Court decision that overturned Roe v Wade:

"In future cases, we should reconsider all of this Court’s substantive due process precedents, including Griswold, Lawrence, and Obergefell. Because any substantive due process decision is ‘demonstrably erroneous,’ we have a duty to ‘correct the error’ established in those precedents."

*Griswold established that married couples have the right to purchase contraception. It laid the foundation for complete legalization that we enjoy today.
*Lawrence established the right of two consenting adults of the same sex to engage in physical intimacy.
*Obergefell guaranteed the right to same-sex marriage.

Virginia still has outdated and immoral laws on the books criminalizing same-sex marriage. If the court overturns Obergefell, those laws will snap back into place immediately. We need to elect more Democrats to the General Assembly to repeal that law — chip in now to help us defend Abortion rights and LGBTQ rights in Virginia! [[link removed]]
