Hi folks — Can I quickly explain something?

This Thursday night, we will close the books on our fundraising for the second quarter of the year. The next morning, our team will compile a report to send to the Federal Election Commission and shortly after, those numbers will be made public for everyone to see.

This may seem like just another fundraising deadline, but I’m really proud of this report and what it says about our campaign — it shares more than just how much we’ve raised over the last three months. More importantly, it shares how many folks are with us.

You know, I got into politics to make a real difference in our community by fighting for the issues that matter most — making quality health care more affordable, safeguarding reproductive rights, protecting our environment against climate change, and more. Folks like you supported me because you wanted to make a difference, too.

We’ve made some progress, but as I’m sure you know, we have so many important fights still ahead of us — from restoring reproductive freedom to protecting our fundamental right to vote.

Republicans are spending tens of millions of dollars to flip seats like ours and reclaim the House majority so they can enact their right-wing agenda — so believe me when I say we’ve got a tough re-election battle ahead of us. But I know with this incredible team by my side, we can protect our fundamental rights and continue making the progress North Carolinians are counting on.

So, I’m humbly asking you to make a contribution to our campaign ahead of Thursday’s end-of-quarter deadline to say you’re all-in for our fight for fairness, equality, and progress. Anything you can spare would mean the world to me.
