It was a tough year, there’s no getting around it. Lung disease deaths increased 80% due to COVID-19, making lung disease the #1 cause of death in the U.S.
However, thanks to your support, we still managed to hit some big milestones to reach our vision of a world free of lung disease.

program, we helped nearly 1 million
people find out if they're eligible for
an early Low-dose CT scan used to
detect lung cancer before any
symptoms appear. |

| Our "State of the Air" report
reached 1.1 billion people, helping
to drive home the urgent need to
curb climate change, clean up air
pollution and ensure communities
hardest hit – especially communities
of color – are prioritized for clean-up. |

| Our $25 million initiative to end
COVID-19, and defend against
future respiratory virus pandemics
is off to a great start. We’ve invested
in 24 research projects and three
notable studies are already
advancing our knowledge
of COVID-19. |
