Friday was a dark day.
The end of Roe means the end of a constitutional right that gave us agency over our bodies, our lives, and our futures for nearly 50 years. This decision will impact all of us, and should serve as a wake-up call for any lawmakers who have sat on the sidelines in the fight to truly protect our fundamental rights.

Anger got me through this weekend, and I know I’m not alone. Hundreds of thousands of people across the country went out into the streets to demand a response that meets the seriousness of this moment. Progressive champions like Sen. Elizabeth Warren and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez have used their massive platforms to call out this stolen Court for destroying whatever legitimacy it had left with this decision.
And they made one thing crystal clear: any plan to rein in Clarence Thomas, Brett Kavanaugh, and the rest of these far-right politicians in robes falls short unless we expand and rebalance the Supreme Court.
Republicans stole the Court with the explicit goal of overturning Roe, but they are not done: this morning the right-wing majority further eroded the line between church and state. In a few days they could tie our hands in the fight against climate change and dramatically reshape our immigration laws. Expanding the Supreme Court by four seats will take away power from these right-wing ideologues and return it to the people, where it belongs.
This is a dark time and so many of us are angry and grieving. That’s not going to change anytime soon. But it’s my belief in us — in this movement and the possibility of real reform that will carry us through the fights ahead.
This is not the time for despair. It’s time to double down on our fight.
These six right-wing extremists on the Supreme Court think they can roll back our rights with impunity, but they are wrong. With your help, we can continue to grow this campaign — which is gaining momentum every day — and win by holding them accountable to the people they serve.
