President Biden is driving us headfirst into climate catastrophe.
Instead of shutting down drilling on public lands and waters as he promised, he’s putting his foot on the pedal. In the coming months, Biden will roll out even more disastrous decisions for more oil and gas drilling on federal lands and waters.
As heat waves, floods, and other extreme weather events wreak havoc and devastate our communities, it’s up to us to make sure Biden knows that continuing to allow business as usual in the oil and gas industry is completely unacceptable.
If we want to avoid the most catastrophic impacts of climate change, pursue justice for frontline communities, and secure energy independence, we must end new federal fossil fuel leasing now and transition to a more reliable and just renewable energy future.
