Time to kick off the week! Here's what you need to know:
SCOTUS: Dobbs v Jackson Women's Health Organization
Last week, the Supreme Court of the United States issued its decision on the landmark case, Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization. This decision upholds Mississippi’s law limiting abortion at 15 weeks and overturns the egregiously wrong decision in Roe v. Wade and Casey v. Planned Parenthood. Roe v. Wade was wrongly decided and as Justice Alito noted, Roe was “on a collision course with the Constitution from the day it was decided.”
The decision by the Court to overturn Roe was 50 years in the making but at long last, this pivotal moment in the pro-life movement has arrived.
Meeting with Wisconsin Hospital Association
It was great to meet with members of the Wisconsin Hospital Association and hear about the performance of care providers across our state and the 5th District, as well as how Congress can better enable them to better serve patients.
Co-Lead Introduction of Justice for American Victims of Terror Act
I co-introduced the Justice for American Victims of Terror Act. This legislation would require the Biden Administration to follow the law to ensure $3.5 billion in assets seized from the central bank of Afghanistan benefits all victims of state-sponsored terrorism through the United States Victims of State Sponsored Terrorism Fund.

Floor Speech on Latest Gun Legislation
The Senate gun legislation could have had strong bipartisan support if it focused solely on the mental health and school safety issues where broad consensus has been established. I opposed the legislation due to my concern it does not adequately protect holders of Federal Firearm Licenses nor due process for law-abiding gun owners.
