Friend,

All of us – regardless of where we come from, what we look like, or who we love – deserve the same opportunities to reach our full potential. We honor Pride month by celebrating our intersectional identities, particularly within the LGBTQ+ immigrant community.

The strength, creativity, and power of the LGBTQ+ immigrant community have been transformative in our fight for justice. Trans and queer trailblazers continue to make waves and propel our movement forward, and model what courage looks like.

As long as oppression persists in our society, its burden will continue to fall hardest on those least protected. LGBTQ+ immigrants are disproportionately impacted by cruel border policies like “Remain in Mexico” and Title 42. No one is free until we’re all free.

Let’s come together to support organizations who work with LGBTQ+ immigrant populations. If you can, consider making a donation to organizations working at the intersection of LGBTQ+ rights and immigrant justice:

As we celebrate Pride month with our loved ones, we remember that Pride started as a riot against police brutality – led by Black trans women. We honor those who have lost their lives due to hate. We stand in solidarity in the fight for equity and justice for all.

Sincerely,
