This month, I announced my reelection campaign for Mayor of Chicago.

In my campaign video, I addressed what critics have been saying about me since I entered office: that I'm tough. That I get angry. And that I take things personally.

You can hear my response to all of those comments by watching my video here >>

Taking on systematic corruption, racism, and inequality isn't for the faint of heart. These are issues that hit close to home for me — and when progress is slow, I get impatient.

I love Chicago. And I know that, together, we can make the greatest city in the world even greater.

Will you join me in the fight for change? My campaign's first fundraising deadline is in THREE days, and hitting my goal is the first step to a greater, more equitable Chicago >>

Let's get back to work,

— Mayor Lori E. Lightfoot
