We wanted to take a step back today and explain why we send fundraising emails. At its core, campaigning is about connecting with voters. However, because our elections are flooded with dark money, whoever is the biggest, loudest, or shiniest tends to get the most votes.
Since the internet became a thing, Democrats figured out we didn’t need to rely on mega-donors and super PACs: we could go straight to the people for financial support.
