We have got an exciting opportunity available for talented individuals to join our Safer Housing Team, perhaps this is the opportunity you have been waiting for?

Are you a fully qualified EHRB or charted EHP with housing and HHSRS experience, or are you nearing graduation and working towards a full qualification and registration?
?
Are you self-motivated and enthusiastic, with a keen desire to improve privately rented housing conditions for the people of Nottingham? If so, you?re just who we need to join our team of professional dedicated officers.
?
As an Environmental Health Officer you will be responsible for providing a premium Environmental Health?service in?enforcement and compliance, protecting public health and citizen safety. Improving poor housing and living conditions, preventing nuisance, tackling rogue landlords and?ensuring properties are licensed and in compliance with?licence conditions. Promoting the provision of safe homes and neighbourhoods in Nottingham. ?
?
What you will need:
?
? Demonstrate experience and the ability to direct investigations - resulting in prosecutions or other legal sanctions in accordance with relevant procedural and evidential rules
? A specialism in at least one of the following areas but with the knowledge and ability to work in any of the fields, listed as requested:
  • Food Safety
  • Health and Safety
  • Housing Standards
  • Housing, Licensing and Compliance
  • Pollution Control
? Must have a degree in Environmental Health or working towards a degree
? Ability and willingness to keep up-to-date and develop knowledge, skills and accreditation relating to the role of an Environmental Health Officer
? A commitment to continuously improve competency in this field
? Ability to analyse information, manage workloads and work both individually and as part of a team
?
