Our campaign is THE top target of national Democrats. They're nervous because they must re-elect my opponent – who calls himself the most vulnerable incumbent Senate Democrat – in order to keep complete control of the federal government. And they will be watching Team Herschel's fundraising numbers closely. On Thursday, we will close the books for the second quarter of 2022. A few days later, our treasurer will report our fundraising totals to the Federal Election Commission (FEC). The Democrats and their powerful special interests will scour our report page-by-page, looking for any signs of weakness they can find. John, our goal is to show a massive groundswell of grassroots support from every county in the Peach State and every state in the nation. Our Democrat opponent has shattered early fundraising records and now has more than $23 million in his re-election war chest. Most of that money comes from blue states around the country, from the same folks who think our country is made stronger by pitting us against each other. Georgia's Senate race will almost certainly decide who controls the Senate majority and the direction of our nation. At stake are issues that affect every single one of us: who controls our schools, how much we pay to fill up our gas tank, the rising cost of groceries, and the ability for small businesses to find the workers they need to keep their doors open. Nothing I've accomplished in life has been easy and winning this U.S. Senate seat might be my toughest challenge yet.
