Time to Talk Day Thursday 6 February 2020
Mental health problems affect one in four of us, yet too many people are made to feel isolated, ashamed and worthless because of this. Time to Talk Day encourages?everyone?to be more open about mental health ? to talk, to listen, to change lives.
We know that talking about mental health can feel awkward, but it doesn't have to be that way. This year,?TTC are?using the popular game?'Would you rather?'?to help break the ice and get the conversation flowing.
The NHS has launched Every Mind Matters, a new way of empowering people to manage and improve their mental health.? Every Mind Matters?aims to?help people take simple steps to look after their mental health, improve their mental wellbeing and support others.?
Further information about looking after your physical and mental health can be found at https://www.nhs.uk/oneyou/?
BAME Community of Practice Group
The Black Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) Community of Practice Group brings together key stakeholders with an interest in BAME health and wellbeing. The group works as a collective to learn and understand the needs of Nottingham?s BAME communities. A key focus of the group is to explore how to improve mental health outcomes for Nottingham?s BAME communities. The group has developed a mental health action plan, which has been endorsed by the Nottingham Clinical Commissioning Groups and Integrated Care Service.
