This is a thank you letter for all your generous support as you partnered with the AE Teams in Africa over the current financial year.
At the same time this is also a reminder that there is still an opportunity for those supporters who have not yet given a donation, no matter how small it may be, towards achieving the $120,000 end-of-financial-year goal. This will help change a vast number of lives across Africa.
Last month I wrote about 13-year-old Lillian* from Rwanda, who was traumatised as a result of abuse which caused her to become a mother while still a child. Sadly, Lillian’s story is repeated over and over each year in Africa, as people find themselves trapped in hopeless situations.
By the grace of God, what seemed like a hopeless situation turned into joy and success when Lillian joined AE’s DREAMS program. She then received support to get back into the classroom, including help with school materials and school fees. Lillian has even learnt to make shoes for her baby, herself and to sell, while still attending school. To top that, this caring young mother has also joined a savings club!
This year as we celebrate AE’s 60 years of sharing the love of Jesus in a practical way with millions of Africans, we press on reaching out to many more people is distress and without hope. We can do this only with your partnership in Word and Deed to see Africa transformed! Click here to give.
