John, the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade is tough. It’s tough for all of us, but especially for those women who’s faced that choice.

This is about more than a medical procedure. It’s about our fundamental freedoms — the freedom to make a decision over your own body. The freedom to decide how and when you start a family.

When I’m Governor, I will protect that freedom and your rights — I will stand in the breach with each and every one of you. Together, we will exercise our power — at the ballot box, in our communities, and all across the Commonwealth — and defend our rights.

Freedom is really at stake in this Governor's race. You know, the other side loves to say they’re the party of freedom — but that’s not true. It's not freedom when they tell the women of Pennsylvania how and when and under what terms they can start a family.

It's not freedom when they tell our children what books they can read. It’s not freedom when they go out and say, sure, you can vote. but we get to pick the winner.

That is not freedom. But I can promise you that I will defend your freedoms against their attacks.
